‎"Human beings can withstand a week without water, two weeks without food, many years of homelessness, but not loneliness. It is the worst of all tortures, the worst of all sufferings." - Paulo Coelho from "Eleven Minutes"

Day 11-A photo of your favorite food

This was difficult. It was a toss up between potstickers/dumplings or ramen, but I think that I'm craving dumplings a lot more than ramen at the moment so my fried little friends pull out in front as the winners! :)

I wish dumplings/potstickers weren't so unhealthy for you because then I'd eat them EVERY DAY. Not for every meal because that's going a little overboard, but definitely once a day (at least two dumplings). Mmmm delicious dumplings... *salivate all over keyboard* omnomnom

Day 10-A picture that you took

Confusion is a word we have invented for an order which is not yet understood. --Henry Miller

I took this photo at the MOMA (one of my very favorite art museums that I have ever visited) and I found it to be a visually appealing piece besides having some greater meaning. My initial and current take on the piece is that it is a commentary on language and how jumbled and perhaps meaningless (to the artist) it can be. The existence of so many different languages creates different types of segregation across the world that people may or may not choose to bridge. I find it particularly interesting because I think that visual as well as auditory "art" such as music, paintings, drawings, etc... are universal languages that can resonate with people in many different ways (befitting to the art piece or no?). In any case, I haven't give this piece too much thought, so I'll have to go back to it someday and take a look at it again. :)

Day 09- A picture of what you like to do

Yes, I realize that I'm skipping day 8, but for good reason! I don't have my camera unpacked out of all my things yet so I am currently unable to take personal pictures. So entries that require such photos will be skipped and updated at a later time :D

I think this comes at as a no-brainer, but what do I like doing? I like shopping! no wait, scratch that. I LOVE shopping. Better yet, I love shopping when I get amazing deals/bargains on things that are great quality and style! :) The only problem is that I hate going to large sale events because there will be hordes and hordes of people and would rather pay the extra money to avoid being trampled on. However, I do get a strange sense of satisfaction and ease when I'm in malls and am surrounded by people everywhere, especially around christmas season. :)

Day 07- A photo of something that makes you cry

I know this isn't one photo but it's a series of photos that I find really heartbreaking. These little boys are looking at pieces of candies that are being made, but that they can't afford to taste. Photos that involve the innocence of children suffering at the hands of poverty or injustice really tug at my heart strings (just as I would imagine it does with most people). I want to work to see toothy smiles on those faces.

Day 06- A picture of what inspires you

I really think that Angelina Jolie is a very inspirational person to me. I envy and respect her greatly. She really has everything anyone could ask for. A great career, financial stability for the rest of her life, a loving family and partner, and a philanthropic heart. (Not to mention that she's one of the most beautiful women alive) She reminds me that the important things I want in life are possible and that I should keep striving towards it no matter how slowed down I begin to feel. I just have to keep working at it!

Day 05- A picture of your morning

To be continued... because I packed up my camera and now I can't take pictures >.

Day 04-A picture of your favorite tv show

Friends and I Love Lucy are, hands down, my favorite tv shows of all time. I just really enjoy the humor of friends and the deep nostalgia of I Love Lucy. It reminds me of those summer days I spent at my uncle's house in Fresno. Those were some of the very best days. *sigh wistfully*

Like looking for a needle in a haystack...

I'm finding it harder and harder to fully be able to trust any male. What has any guy done for me that has warranted my utter and complete trust in him? I am constantly let down by almost EVERY male in my life. My dad, my relatives, my friends... Yes there are the few that are better, but that doesn't mean I can truly trust them either. I am sick of not having a strong male role model figure to respect.

Can you please tell me where all the good guys are?

Day 3- Favorite Movie

So, I've decided to skip day 2 because I really don't feel like taking a picture and uploading today but I want to keep going with this 30 day blog challenge. Having said that, heeeeeeeeere is my favorite movie!

Okay so I kinda cheated and I'm putting as my favorite movie most if not all disney and pixar movies. Choosing a favorite film is SO incredibly difficult for me because it's like having to choose between apples and oranges. There are so many different genres that appeal to different sides of me that I can't narrow it down to a singular film. I LOVE THEM ALL.

I am, by no means, a huge film buff or connoisseur of films and film history, but I enjoy films to a greater extent than the average moviegoer (which isn't saying much). I love watching, analyzing, admiring all the different aspects and details of the film from the way it's shot and edited down to the nuances of the acting.

Anywho, those are my favorite movies because they're the right mixture of lightheartedness and sentimentality.
